FAQs

When can I start?

New students can begin any day of the week. Please give us a call to schedule your orientation class which we offer before your first class.

How often do I come to class?

More important than how many classes you come to is how consistent you are. Some people only attend one class per week, others might attend five. The key to success is being dedicated and consistent in the long run.

Do I have to be in shape before I start training here?

One of the biggest misconceptions about studying martial arts is that you have to already be in shape to learn. Most students come to us looking to get in shape and to develop a healthy lifestyle by learning something interesting that they can do for the rest of their lives. Two months after you start you will feel so much better, you won’t believe it.

So, how long does it take to earn my black belt?

Everyone progresses at their own pace, but the average time it takes to earn your black belt ranges from around five years for an adult in Kempo-Jujitsu or Arnis, to about ten years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Regardless of rank, your hard work and dedication will pay off in the form of skill, confidence, and well-being.

Will my training help me in other areas of life?

It has done just that for so many people – that’s why the martial arts have survived for so many years. The traditional martial arts process of setting goals and working patiently and methodically to achieve them, can be applied to any of life’s challenges. Your success on the mat can give you the confidence you’ve always wanted!
